Jess and Dan held their wedding on the edge of the National Forest at tipi wedding venue the Hidden Hive in Derbyshire.

With a humorous and moving ceremony by the incredible Helen Jubb Ceremonies, containing the most sincere personal vows written by Jess and Dan, in the height of summer 2022, by a beautiful lake. It was a truly special day to celebrate the love of these two lovely teachers.

And if music be the food of love, play on! Guests were treated to some amazing retro music courtesy of the very talented wedding band New York Brass Band who definitely got the party started with their surprise entrance at the end of the ceremony.

Jess and Dan planned their wedding reception thoughtfully and carefully, with some lovely family touches (Mum made the cake, complete with a glitter ball). They also had some fantastic local wedding suppliers including myself, wedding videographer Laura Baker Productions, make up artist Josephine Way, and natural wedding photographer Tim from The Georges, who like me, thrives on weddings of a more relaxed nature where we can get our documentary juices a-flowing!
