Congratulations to Laura and David who held a beautiful wedding ceremony at St Mary and All Saints Church in the historic village of Fotheringhay, Northamptonshire, followed by vivacious celebrations at Northampton wedding venue Elton Hall and Gardens, eight miles outside of Peterborough.
Elton Hall is an immaculately looked after wedding venue, surrounded by formal gardens, including two traditional secluded gardens where reception drinks were heartily consumed. It is the type of wedding reception venue that has countless photo and video opportunities for wedding portraits, and myself and documentary style wedding photographer Alexandra Wallace were in our element!

Myself and Alexandra rattled through the formal part of the day quickly, partly due to the dreadful rain showers, which thankfully came in short bursts, and partly due to Laura herself, and her personal preference to prioritise the capturing of candid and informal footage. Music to my ears! There’s nothing I love more than a natural feel to a wedding day, without too many staged, smiling to camera moments. With so many guests having such a great time in such gorgeous grounds, it was a dream to film.

Laura’s dress was provided by bridal specialists Clover London. Laura chose to wear the Eden collection, a 100% silk two piece dress, made to order. Stunning.
Laura and David’s cake was made by wedding cake maker Katie Sanderson of Couture Cakes based in Stamford. Fascinating fact - Kate was trained by Dawn Blunden, the Royal wedding cake maker responsible for the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s wedding cake!
